A meeting of the Wilkinson Community Council was held on Oct 12, 2010 In room 3 at 7pm.
1. Approval of Agenda
No conflicts of interest regarding the meeting’s agenda were declared. It was –
Moved by Ruby Lederman and seconded by Paul Dobson
“That the agenda for the Oct 12, 2010 Community council meeting be approved.”

2. Principles Update
• Has hired an artist to paint a Mural in the mail hallway of the School
• Requested funding of up to $5000.00
• Looking into relocating the existing mural
• Windows – almost complete still need finished, flashing and painting
• Painting the school – We have been approved for $40 000. 1st floor will be painted , outside entrance, Black molding to be replaced
• Safe and Caring Schools Committee –
i. Completed a walking tour
ii. Update was sent by email
iii. Vest will be worn by teachers on playground duty
• Curriculum update – Continuing “ Pathways Program

• Wants to put the constitution on the next agenda

• Elected the council administration , they are as follows

5. Committees / Projects/Community events
• Craig Kasaval wants to initiate a healthy eating program based around children’s snack
• Presented an idea that focuses on a fruit /or veggie of the week,
• Book Fair – Nov19 ,2010
• Oct 23,2010 Pumpkin fest
• Council Meeting will be help 2nd Monday of every month
6. Adjournment
The meeting concluded at 9:00 p.m. The meeting did not cover all agenda items and will be carried forward to the next meeting. Motion was passed and approved.
