a. Funding options
i. Informal request for $4/child for field trips. Option discussed of creating a field trip fund. Put aside money for kids who can’t afford to go on field trips and whose parents are uncomfortable asking for help. The teachers would let us know how much financial support is needed for their class. Funding request to be brought forward at next Council meeting.
ii. Kindergarten Play area. We need more info from the teachers. John H will visit during a Wednesday lunch hour to discuss this issue
iii. Room 18 wants to Sponsor a Child overseas. It would be $30/month. We have decided not to fund it, and are looking instead at projects that will benefit all children, e.g. field trips.
